A Los Angeles judge said publicity over the police beating of motorist Rodney

King, videotaped and widely televised, isn't sufficient reason to move the trial of

four officers. Trial is set for June 19. Also, it was disclosed that Sgt. Stacey

Koon, one of those charged in the March 3 incident, is in a police video used to

train officers how to deal with a suspect high on drugs.

INSURANCE REFORM: A major victory for New Jersey Gov. Jim Florio: the

state Supreme Court upheld his auto insurance reform. The high court

unanimously rejected an insurance industry challenge, allowing the state to get

$1.4 billion from the industry over seven years. That will pay half the debt of the

now-defunct pool for high-risk drivers. The ruling is expected to preserve the

elimination of fees of up to $222 per car used to boost the defunct pool.
